I really like your article, I find the two characters that you have identified really opened up the way in which I listen and experience Manson's music - almost as if I received a third ear! I look forward to reading your next work, hopefully we will see it soon on Nonce!

Tyler:
Perfect! I too have seen many a box turttle in my youth spent wandering around the woods of Tennessee, and thouh it hadn't occured to me until I read your work, I never saw any of them together--always solitary. So maybe I don't know the woods as well as I thought...

Which brings me to another point of your poem--it captures subtly and well the truth that, no matter how often you go into the wild, you will always, always encounter something new.

It also captures the exquisite thrill of being out alone in the storm. I'm a huge fan of storms or intense weather of all kinds. I used to go curl up under the roots of a big maple that had been exposed by the waters of the creek it stood next to, and shiver in the wet while the creek rose, the lightning flashed and trees thrashed. Thanks for the memory trip.

Great work.

"A View Of The City" reminds me a bit of the Berlin Wall. It's like some kind of post-Cold War socio-political commentary on poverty, with an inverted "big brother" on the TV screens... like reality TV gone awry.
